Sometimes you find a manufacturer or a brand you love and you want to stick with that brand. That makes sense, especially when it comes to lighting. If you find a designer you like, someone whose lighting styles match your personal tastes, it's a good idea to stick with that designer. Lighting is one of those home-decor elements that's both style dependent and taste driven. You wouldn't put contemporary chandelier lighting in the formal dining room of an 1830s Colonial home, but then again, even if your home is a traditional style, you might want to consider adding kitchen or bathroom lighting that may be a little more modern, especially if you're renovating those rooms or if you're just looking for a slightly updated look to a traditional-style home.
