Thomas Lighting has a long legacy, dating back to 1919 when Henrick Moe found Moe Brothers Co. in order to manufacture residential light fixtures. The company was then taken over in 1948 by Lee B. Thomas and the name was changed to Thomas Industries in 1953. It wasn’t till the Genlyte Group Inc. and the Lighting Group of Thomas Industries Inc. joined forces that Thomas Lighting fully got underway. Nowadays, it is one of the largest lighting manufacturers in North America.
